In 2008 I moved from Michigan to Los Angeles with two suitcases of my belongings and the baggage of the thyroid disease, hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism is a deficiency in thyroid hormones which disrupts all aspects of the metabolism, can create brain fog, chronic fatigue and more. In order to reverse these symptoms it’s important to build a healthy functioning thyroid. After countless doctor appointments, very little improvement and many unanswered questions, I began looking for another healing path. That’s when I found the health and fitness community. Through self-discovery, research, and discipline I became aware of my mind-body connection in an entirely new way and found the ability to heal and manage my hypothyroidism through food, natural medicine, movement and a overall holistic lifestyle approach. My physical and mental health drastically improved and I fell in love with the process it took to get where I am today. Now into my 30's, I am physically and mentally at my best. This personal journey brought me to a deeper understanding of what a mind body connection means as a whole, and took that hunger to learn more about the body's ability to heal and became an Integrative Holistic Health Coach. I have extensive knowledge of how to naturally treat metabolic disorders and improve overall health, both mentally and physically. I understand feeling helpless, getting inconsistent treatment, unclear answers, and not knowing where to turn next. That is why I created Hannah Joy Wellness.
My career started with international and domestic personal training, allowing me to gain global and comprehensive knowledge of health. Because of this, my training programs include efficient and universal techniques that push your body to the limit, along with nutrition guidelines to help optimize your physical results and give you mental strength and clarity to keep going! These training programs will be the tools you need to improve your mental and physical wellness. Additionally, through my pregnancy and in preparation for the arrival of my first child I took the opportunity to study pre & postnatal training. For all the moms out there, I have built an additional guide to help you feel your best throughout pregnancy by giving you the same tools I’ve learned to guide you through each trimester and into your postpartum recovery.
It’s important to be confident in the choices we make to better our lives. You can trust that where I guide you is somewhere I have been before. When it comes to my nutrition and training methods, I practice what I preach, knowing I would be back to square one with anxiety, fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, and more, if I didn't hold true to the healthy lifestyle I’ve created and adapted to. When your mind is healthy and making good choices for your body, you will see the physical results you desire.
